24 hours after the Berwick "KLS" Bandits (Powered by Mike Hope, Wooler) narrowly missed out on taking a league point at the Glasgow Tigers as the home side got their act together with two heats to go, the Tigers were the Bandits guests last night at Shielfield Park with only home revenge on the menu and they certainly gained it in style with a 26-point victory which kept them in fourth place in the league.

Having finally relinquished their grip on fourth place in the Championship League table the Berwick "KLS" Bandits welcomed the Scunthorpe Scorpions with the full intention of getting back to winning ways and did both in fine style defeating Scunthorpe by 18 points and reclaiming the league's fourth spot on 19 points.

24 hours earlier the Berwick "KLS" Bandits found the going very tough at the Workington Comets in the SGB Championship and first leg of the 2018 Border Trophy going down by 28 points at Derwent Park, but after some fierce team-talking the Bandits returned to Shielfield Park last night for the reverse fixture determined to regain some authority in the Border speedway scene.

The East coast/West coast local derby took to the Derwent Park shale in Workington last night with the Berwick Bandits battling the 1st leg of the Border Trophy as well as the all important SGB Championship League points, but he Bandits had to start without Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen who had an obligatory call back to his home Danish League meeting.

The Berwick "KLS" Bandits get back to SGB Championship League action on Friday night with a visit to the Workington Comets over at Derwent Park with a 7.30pm tapes-up, but the match will also count for the 2018 Border Trophy, and annual piece of silverware which has been the spoils between the clubs since the 1970s.
