Berwick Bandits Add Two More For 2017

Berwick’s speedway Bandits yesterday announced the names of two more riders signed up to wearing Black and Gold in 2017.
“It is with great pleasure I can announce we are two important steps closer to completing our line-up,” said promoter Scott Courtney, who has been working hard to recruit new blood for the border side alongside his colleagues Gary Havelock and (Scott’s brother) Jamie Courtney.

Since the close of the BSPA annual general meeting, Berwick Speedway's brand new managerial trio of Gary Havelock, Scott Courtney and Jamie Courtney have been working tirelessly alongside club stalwart Dennis McCleary to put together a team that will represent the Bandits for 2017!

The Berwick Bandits will line up a member of the re-badged SGB Championship as British Speedway is ready to bounce back in 2017 – after the biggest revamp of the sport in modern history.
Club bosses have spent three days voting through plans to restructure league racing in the UK which sees both Rye House and second tier champions Somerset taking the plunge with promotion to the top flight.

John Anderson has today revealed the official sale of the club, as a going concern, to an alliance of Scott and Jamie Courtney, together with 1992 World Champion Gary Havelock.
