It’s been several weeks since my last nonsensical ramblings here, and guess what? I’m struggling for inspiration.
There’s a shocker eh? Not really as it has very much been the theme of 2020!
Not only that, it turns out I was supposed to be blogging here earlier in the week, but what can only be described as a calendar malfunction meant that I thought it was next week…fear not though, Blog Lord Barrie was quick to correct me on my faux pas!
However I’m here now and as I pen what I think will be my last blog of 2020, there truly isn’t an awful lot to reflect back on.
However with a vaccine apparently on the horizon and sport with crowds being given the green light in the not too distant future we might actually have a 2021 season to look forward to.
We can but hope.
Before that though there is the small matter of the winter festivities, Santa and his face mask, something about chimneys and all that jazz to get out the way.
So with that in mind, what speedway related goodies are we all receiving this year?
A remote controlled speedway bike?
A real speedway bike?
A Dany Gappmier wig?
A Jye Etheridge action figure with built in “Cookie Slaying” action?
Whatever it may be I hope the big red fella is good to you all because let’s face it, we all need a little cheer after what can only be described as a pretty horrendous year.
There really isn’t an awful lot left to say other than thank you to each and every one of you who has taken the time to read my ramblings in 2020.
A special thank you to my fellow “bloggers” Dick, George and Sarah, thank you to Norman Clark, The GCBS, Dennis Mccleary, Scott and Jamie and anyone else I may have forgotten to mention here.
2020 may have been a strange year for us all, but lets look forward to 2021, some degree of normality and a Bandits League Championship to celebrate in approximately 10 months time.
Not too much to ask now is it?
Of course if you wish to agree, or disagree with the Mythman, have an idea for a feature, or you simply want to chew the fat over all things speedway, you can email me email@example.com or get in touch via the JB Speedway Media Facebook page. If your compliments, or indeed gripes can be contained to limited characters, you can send me a tweet @Mythman666.
Until next time…and there will be a next time.
