MAXICAb Knockout Cup semi-final second leg
Berwick ended their 37-year wait to reach a knockout Cup final in spectacular fashion putting Poole to the sword to win by 16 points on aggregate. As always Richard Lawson was the main opposition threat, Nick Morris’ two victories over the Pirates number one underlining the home side’s dominance on the night.
Peter Kildemand was the third Bandit to beat Lawson, ten points from skipper Jye Etheridge and a paid 12 return from Jack Smith the other highlights of a hugely impressive all-round team performance from the Bandits who reached the KO Cup final for the first time in 37 years and must now be relishing the prospect of a two-legged tie against Plymouth.
