Berwick Bandits vs Poole Pirates
Bandits 100 per cent home record is intact but they had to dig deep, rattling off three successive 5-1s to overturn an eight=point defecit.
Nick Morris’ magic weeknd continued with 16 points added to Friday’s 19 but for much of the meeting he was the only Berwick race winner as guests Sam Masters and reserve Edward Kennett both won their opening four rides.
Morris and Leon Flint gave Berwick hope with 5-1 in heat 13 and then Cooper Rushen send Reid Battye tumbling down the home straight and was rightly excluded. The Australian picked himself off the deck to follow Jordan Jenkins home for the maximum which levelled the scores, Morris and Flint bringing the crowd to their feet as they left Masters and Kennett in the wake to seal a memorable victory.
