Berwick came within a broken chain of claiming the aggregate bonus point which lifted Scunthorpe to the top of the Cab Direct Championship.
Jye Etheridge crashed heavily when the link on his rear chain failed turning a comfortable Berwick 5-1 into a shared heat which proved crucial in the final outcome.
In many ways it was a case of Josh Pickering (16) and reserve Nathan Ablitt (10) against the rampant Bandits, Peter Kildemand and Victor Palovaara inflicting race wins on the hard-riding Australian.
Jordan Jenkins conjured up a second double figure return from the return berth as the R.E.D Bandits, powered by STS maintained their 100 per cent home record in 2026.
