Bullets came agonisingly close to lifting themselves off the bottom of the NDL, losing a last heat decider after a tremendous night of racing at Shielfield Park.
Connor Coles dropped just two points all night but crucially that was in heat 15 when Jordan Jenkins and Henry Atkins combined for a match-winning 5-1.
Skipper Greg Blair and reserve Mason Watson were also in the thick of the action on a tremendous night of entertaining speedway.
