In contrast to the Championship match which preceded, it was the Monarchs’ reserves who foiled the Bullets in another heartbreaking last heat decider.
Mickie Simpson and Dayle Wood scored 27 points between them in support of Max Clegg.
Steve Boxall completed a superb return to competitive speedway with a superb 13 points while Danny Phillips, Connor Coles and Jamie Halder all scored solidly without being able to keep the rampant Monarchs’ trio at bay.
