Berwick hung on to claim their first aggregate bonus point of the season but it took a determined heat 15 ride from Peter Kildemand to keep Mitch McDiarmid at the rear to deny the Cheetahs a Super Heat run-off for the extra.
Jye Etheridge inflicted a rare defeat – and the only one of night – on Sam Masters but otherwise only Nick Morris, twce, managed to take the chequered flag for the visitors.
Berwick were forced to use a tactical substitution as early as heat seven but could only share the heat.
Again their reserves were heavily outscored by their counterparts but in the end the bonus point could be vital to hopes of reaching the play-offs.
