A stunning last-heat 5-1 from guest Leon Flint and Nick Morris capped a sensational performance by the R.E.D Bandits, powered by STS who going into Saturday’s MAXICab Knockout Cup semi-final second leg just four points adrift of holders Poole.
And it could have been even better with reserve Jordan Jenkins scoring nine points despite suffering bouts of nausea in the stifling heat and seeing his kill switch come adrift while sitting comfortably second.
But the Bandits dug deep with contributions throughout the team to set up what should be an absolute humdinger of a second leg at Shielfield Park.
