Jack Smith’s best away performance in Berwick colours was one of the few bright spots of another Bandits nightmare in Lincolnshire.
Along with top scorer Nick Morris he teamed up for Berwick’s only heat advantage on the night, a 5-1 in heat nine, skipper Jye Etheridge the only visiting rider other than Morris to take the chequered flag.
In contrast Josh Pickering, full, and Michael Palm Toft, paid, both bagged maximums while teenage reserve Ryan Ingram was paid for 14 points.
