Berwick’s Leon Flint lines up alongside his TeamGB team mates Dan Bewley,…
With race tracks all over the UK already running socially distanced practice sessions, your Berwick Bandits management team are delighted to announce that bikes will take to the new Shielfield Park track this Saturday evening!
Following strict government guidelines, a very small group of officials and the FTS Bandits riders that are based in the UK will attend Shielfield Park on Saturday to take the first tentative steps towards Speedway’s full time return whenever that may be but we must emphasise that this is very much a ‘closed doors practice session’.
The club plans to gather footage from the practice session and get feedback from the riders on the track adjustments that were made during the winter. There will be content available from Saturday’s practice and we will keep everyone updated on how things progress.
Only when it is absolutely safe to do so and when the club is granted permission from the government and the BSPA, will we be able to accommodate spectators in any form but rest assured, these steps are the first towards how the club can make progress safely through these tough times.
Stay tuned folks and we politely ask you to let us get to work on closed doors practice so that we can be prepared to bring you live action in the future whenever it is deemed safe to do so.
