Still plenty of action

While we’re busy planning for 2024 there is still plenty of action involving Berwick riders going on around the UK.

Danny Phillips and Jamie Halder represented the GHT Bullets, powered by STS in the National League Riders’ Championship at Workington on Sunday, finishing the afternoon with six and four points respectively. Home man Connor Bailey won the meeting with a 15-point maximum with Jacob Hook – who had two spells with the FTS Bandits, powered by Keenwood Karpets – finishing third after a run-off with Edinburgh team-mate Max Clegg.

On Monday night Rory headed the qualifiers in Monmore Green’s penultimate speedway meeting, the Olympique, but lost out to Zach Cook in the final with Tom Brennan finishing third.

Skipper Leon Flint got nine points in qualifying and he will be in action again on Friday night returning to Redcar where he won the Stuart Robson Farewell Meeting on his last outing as part of a strong field competing for the Teesside Silver Helmet.
