Leon Flint’s last lap heat 15 puncture handed victory to Edinburgh after a super-tight Cab Direct Championship encounter seemed destined to be decided by a Superheat.
There were never more than four points between the teams with Jye Etheridge once again revelling in putting one over his former employers, Edinburgh only leading twice on the night – after heat one and, crucially, 15.
