A spirited late rally saw the Jewson Bandits, led by Lewis Kerr and Drew Kemp, limit the damage in their final league match of the season.
The pair combined for a heat 12 5-1, one of three Bandits’ heat advantages in the final five races.
They also spoiled the maximum hopes of Troy Batchelor, Antti Vuolas and Erik Riss as the Comets made light work of the loss of Claus Vissing with damaged fingers following a high speed crash.
