LET’S GO!

Yes folks!

A big howdy, salutations, g’day, bla bla bla….

Whatever you want to say, welcome (finally) to season 2022 — and hell, I will say it out loud..

I’ve got good vibes… the sort of vibes that can make the hairs stand on end… and yea, you may have heard it all before… but the last couple of times I felt this positive was when we won the 4TT and season 2014.

Last Friday night was the official meet the teams night, and you can’t help but be excited when you see your riders….. your new team race suits…. friends you haven’t seen in months!

It just got me ready for the following night’s Press and Practice!

And for those that were there at P&P…. oh, that sweet smell…. Well, they saw what many thought would be the impossible; Chris “Bomber” Harris giving it big licks in a Bandits race suit!

In all honesty, other than Theo, who seemed to have some bike problems (but is old enough and wise enough to get them sorted) the other 6 Bandits were enough to warm the cockles of any eejit who dared brave what was a Baltic night….

Tomorrow night sees our real launch night and also the launch of the British Speedway Network streaming as they come to show the world, the entire planet, our meeting against Birmingham.

And what will tomorrow night bring other than frost-bitten peripheries?

Well, hopefully retribution for the beating they gave us at the start of last season. 39-51… ouch!

They don’t have Bomber this time though…. they don’t have Scott Nicholls guesting for them….. and might there be the odd question-mark around them already?

Josh Auty and his equipment issues…. Claus heading back home to Denmark? I suppose we will know what we’re up against, come 7pm tomorrow!

And my predictions for us right now…?

I see us as reaching the play-offs as the least of what we could achieve! I think we’ve got a team that gives us points at the top and bottom ends!

We start with Jye and Kyle at reserve…. that could easily then be changed to Theo and/or Ty! I do expect Kyle to have little pressure on him and to see him thrive as he settles into his 2nd season with us!

Who do I think could join us in the top 6?

That’s for next time… I’m already in motion of putting my ideas down now, but the old guy needed a quick pre-season blog…. and I don’t like to disappoint!
