MY WORST NIGHTMARE!

It should have been such a joyous day!

It should have been the day we sat on the terraces freezing our gonads off!

It should have been the day we saw what our track is likely to offer for the season ahead……

Instead………

We sat in…….. binge watching what is left to watch on Netflix……. washing skirting boards…… washing bed-sheets over and over again……. and in my own case, trying to find on a cream that isn’t going to cause pain and stinging to my already dry, cracking, aching hands!

I’m in a luckier position than most though……. I can still go to work; still get my full wages, still lead somewhat of a normal life — unlike another blogger who is locked in total isolation ‘cos he’s a wee bit older than I (hahaha)….

Work has never been more weird than it currently is right now though!

Lots of deferrals of treatment — of which the backlash will surely hit us about June/July…… almost constant streams of phone calls from very scared patients…… some treatments still going ahead but under very strict duress that, if they experience any side effects sending them to hospital is likely to prove detrimental to their health…… but continue to treat them we do.

No such thing as social distancing within the NHS!

And thanks for the applause on Thursday night, really made me stick my chest out.

Anyways, looks like speedway’s off till June at least…… I will know what every single millimetre of my house looks like by then!

The sooner we hear the roars or bikes the better….

God help us all!
