Cubs, Scorpions dates

Berwick have confirmed that their outstanding National Development League Knockout Cup semi-final against Leicester Lion Cubs will take place on Saturday 23 July.

It will form the second part of a double-header, the evening beginning with the clash of the FTS Bandits, powered by Keenwood Karpets, and Edinburgh Monarchs in the new Summer Trophy.

As a result racing starts at 6.30pm with the GHT Bullets bidding to claw back a 27-63 first leg deficit later in the evening in the latest of a series of popular double headers in which the Borders’ track offers spectators 30 heats of top racing over three hours for the discounted price of £24 adults.

The Bandits travel to Leicester the following evening, 6pm, in a rearranged Championship fixture while Scunthorpe will bring down the Championship season curtain on Saturday 27 August, while the outstanding NDL fixture against the Lion Cubs at Beaumont Leys, also washed out last month, will complete the NDL league programme on Saturday 10 September with a 7pm start.
