ARCHIE MELDRUM

It is with a heavy heart that we bring you the sad news of the recent passing of Archie Meldrum.

To say Archie had an influence on Berwick Speedway over the years would be an understatement.

A lifelong accomplished motorcycle mechanic and the ‘go to’ guy for all things Speedway, Archie was instrumental in tuning the machines that powered some of the fastest Bandits in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.

Under Archie’s guidance his son David became one of Berwick’s finest homegrown Bandits ever and Archie was no stranger to competition himself, competing in Classic Road Racing events up and down the UK throughout the 1980’s.

Archie’s service to the Riders, Berwick Speedway and the Sport as a whole will never be forgotten and at this sad time, everyone involved with Berwick Bandits Speedway Club sends their deepest condolences to Archie’s close friends and family.
