Our injured teenager underwent an operation on Sunday to stabilise his broken tibia and fibula.

Mum Gillian tells us that he has had some physio but remains in a lot of pain following the accident, in the GHT Bullets, powered by STS, opening NDL match at Belle Vue.

He remains in hospital in Manchester but was hoping to be released and return to his Newcastle home on Tuesday.
