Archie Freeman finally gets to make his home bow for the GHT Bullets powered by STS tonight.

The Geordie tearaway was a winter signing and his practice sessions around Shielfield Park suggested a season of rapid progress.

Sadly it was not to be as in race one of his Berwick debut at Belle Vue on Good Friday he broke both bones in his lower leg in a freak accident caused by a mechanical breakdown.

An operation preceded a summer of physio and rehabilitation before he climbed back on a bike for a practice session at Workington last weekend.

With Berwick redeclaring their side mid-season Archie became technically unattached which allows him to guest in place of Greg Blair when the Bullets face Belle Vue tonight, 7pm.

Former Bullet Luke Crang replaces the suspended Steve Boxall while Senna Summers- who made a successful  competitive track debut for Redcar in the Northern Junior League last night,  steps in for Jamie Halder.

Tickets are available from berwickspeedway.com/tickets or it’s £14 cash on the gate.

Bullets: Luke Crang,  Senna Summers,  Archie Freeman, Rider-replacement, Danny Phillips, Kieran Douglas, Mason Watson
