Ashfield date for our champ

Skipper Leon Flint will defend his British under-21 title on familiar shale in August.

Leon, who swept the card in both qualifying and the Grand Final to lift the 2022 title at Birmingham, will again start as one of the favourites when Glasgow hosts the 2023 final at Ashfield on Sunday July 16, the afternoon meeting scheduled to start at 2pm.

Having finished runner-up to Dan Bewley at Shielfield Park in 2020, our local hero missed out the following year due to injury but was back with a bang in 2022 winning both the under-21 and under-19 titles, unbeaten in both meetings.

Ω Congratulations to our returning Danish superstar Thomas Jorgensen on his marriage to Sam at the weekend. We look forward to welcoming the newly-wed to press and practice at Shielfield on March 25.
