If you fancy dusting off your Bandits’ jackets, popping on the bobble hat and getting the Bandits centre stage in an exciting arts installation, then Berwick Barracks is the place to be this weekend.
The Maltings Trust has commissioned artist Matthew Rosier who has spent the past few days capturing footage of hundreds of people parading across a specially designed set. The edited work will be turned into a giant installation beamed onto 200-year-old walls of the former home of the King’s Own Scottish Borderers.
Filming takes place between 10am and 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
So far Matthew has footage of schoolchildren, canoeists and tribal belly dancers in the can but there is plenty of room for fans of the Borders’ best-supported sport.
Filming won’t take long, report to the the main guard of the Barracks and Matthew’s colleagues will do the rest.
