A pleasant surprise for the R.E.D Bandits, powered by STS today with Jordan Jenkins revealing that his emergency MRI scan has found no new damage to his back.
Which means he is jumping straight back on a bike and taking a guest booking for Poole against Edinburgh at Wimborne Road tomorrow night.
Then he faces the Pirates in Berwick colours on Saturday..
Jordan said: “After what seemed like the longest week waiting for results, the MRI has come back showing that everything is stable, although it does show the previous injuries to my back and all the old breaks.
“I’m gutted to have missed out on four meetings over a busy weekend, but it was a risk I couldn’t take until I knew the extent of the injuries.”
Berwick are also monitoring the fitness of reserve Jack Smith who suffered a hip injury in Saturday’s win over Workington.
