Sad news to share following the death earlier this week of long-term volunteer Gordon Inglis, aged 66.
Although very much a Berwicker, Gordon was a familiar face in Dunbar where he worked as a hugely respected financial advisor.
Having been a Bandits’ fan for many years Gordon switched to the other side of the fence in the later years of John Anderson’s promotion, initially looking after club sponsors.
Having also served as pits steward and turned his hand to most of the 1001 tasks needed to keep Berwick speedway on-track, Gordon took on the role of clerk of course post-Covid, joining long-time friend and fellow golf fanatic Malcolm Leighton and his wife Diane to ensure that meetings ran smoothly.
The thoughts of everyone at Berwick Speedway are with Gordon’s family.
