Watson scooped the Bullets 2022 rider of the year award, voted for by the fans after another solid season of hard work and progress.
The season did not come without its knocks for Mason and a hand injury in the final match of the season was the only blemish on an otherwise solid year for the young Berwicker.
Team manager Gary Flint adds,
🗣️ “Mason is progressing well in his pursuit to become an established Speedway rider and we started to see some real heroic displays around Shielfield Park last season.
In tricky conditions at Leicester Mason’s talent outshone most other riders and performances like that really motivate us to make sure the Bullets team can be a platform for young riders to chase their goals and dreams.
Mason is living proof that it’s possible to have a ride at the GHT Academy at Duns (our purpose built Speedway training facility), work your way into the Bandits Academy side and become a fully fledged Berwick rider.
I see a big season ahead for Mason, his attitude and work ethic is backed up by natural talent and we are excited to help him reach his goals in 2023 and beyond.”
