Please welcome your very own Mason Watson back to Shielfield Park for 2022!
The talented Berwick upon Tweed native will take his place in the Grant Henderson Tankers Bullets side once again after a successful debut season of racing at senior level in 2021.
Mason who transitioned from Motocross to Speedway only a few short years ago has shown real promise since taking to the shale and club owner Jamie Courtney believes the sky is the limit for Watson.
Jamie added;
🗣 “For me Mason ticks all the boxes when it comes to what it takes to become a successful Speedway rider and he has shown that when he hits the front he is already capable of scoring big points.
“He’s had a chance to see a variety of tracks around the UK now and he will be dialled in and ready to go when it’s showtime.
“Mason is living proof that if you want to race Speedway, there is a clear path to do it at any level here in the Berwick area and our youth system speaks for itself.
From your first go at Duns to lining up alongside Chris ‘Bomber’ Harris at Championship level, we are very proud of being able to create that route here at Berwick Speedway.
“When myself and my brother (Scott) started our journey with the club, we knew that creating opportunities for riders to start their Speedway careers was essential for the greater good of the sport and the GHT Bullets were the final link in the chain to give Mason and many of his teammates the opportunity to follow their dreams.”
