The Cab Direct championship campaign may be over but there’s still Friday’s Pairs at Oxford – full preview and weekend briefing tomorrow – and one more Shielfield Park Super Saturday to come.

And it’s a chance to see some of Britain’s top up and coming talent around the country’s fastest raceway as we stage the 2024 NDLRC Series Stars of Tomorrow on 7 September, with, of course, a 7pm start.

Each NDL side will nominate two of its riders and there will be four local wildcards in the field chosen by the Berwick promotion.

The event will follow the historical World Championship format of 20 heats with each rider taking five rides and the winner the one with the most points!

Riders will be announced in due course but tickets for what traditionally produces a feast of good racing and action a-plenty will go on sale next week at an early-bird price of £12 for adults. Matchday e-tickets and cash payments will be £14 on the night. No concessions, season passes are not valid for this meeting and admission is free for accompanied under-16s – if they are not riding in the event!

There’s also an opportunity to sponsor one of the 20 heats – 17 to be accurate as Berwick medical co-ordinator Sarah Bulman, Teng Tools and BSN have already put their names forward. For £100 you, your business, group of friends or organisation, can sponsor a heat which will see your name listed in beside the corresponding heat in the programme and on the livestream of the meeting along with announcements from our match night presentation team.
