It’s nearly here

Just two more sleeps until the winter blues can be banished and the FTS Bandits, powered by Keenwood Karpets, and our GHT Bullets, powered by STS, are suited, booted and back on track.

Friday night will see all our teams – not forgetting the Northern Junior League Academy boys – assemble in the Black and Gold from 7.30pm to be introduced and quizzed by Berwick speedway’s answer to Dastardly and Muttley, Steve Hayward and Dick Barrie.

Admission is by donation with all money raised once again donated to a cause close to the Berwick Speedway family’s hearts, the Ryan Renton Fund.

That’s also the case on Saturday night when the riders will finally get back on track with practice night beginning at 6.30pm.

Then it’s all systems go for the gigantic opening derby clash with Redcar on Friday week, March 30 at the Ecco Arena, and a 7pm start at Shielfield Park the following night, a place in the next round of the Knockout Cup against Glasgow the prize for the winners of the two-legged tie.
