JJ’s next chat with Greg will be as a fully-fledged Bandit

It may not come as the biggest surprise but R.E.D Bandits, powered by STS supporters will be delighted to know that Jordan Jenkins’ initial 28-day contract has now been made permanent.

And the man he was brought in as a temporary replacement for, Reid Battye, is also in our redeclared team which will race for the first time in the BSN Series semi-final first leg on Friday night.

The following night we host Oxford Cheetahs at Shielfield Park.

However, the changes – ratified by the Speedway Control Bureau this afternoon – mean that we say goodbye to Lasse Fredriksen who has been released by the club.

We wish Lasse all the best for the future in both Britain and Europe and thank him for his efforts in Berwick colours this season. But Jordan’s performances since arriving – 40 points in four meetings – made a compelling case to sign him for the rest of the season.

He will line-up against Redcar, the team which released him and enabled the switch to take place, at number four with Reid returning to the reserve berth.

Bears: Nikolai Klindt, Simon Lambert, Jake Mulford, Jason Edwards, Jake Allen, Ace Pijper, Jody Scott

Bandits: Peter Kildemand, Jye Etheridge, Victor Palovaara, Jordan Jenkins, Nick Morris, Jack Smith, Reid Battye

Tickets for Saturday night are on sale here and don’t forget to visit our Facebook and Instagram for the chance to win a Golden Ticket – admission for two adults and as many under-16s as you wish to bring, a pit walk, picture with your favourite Bandit and the opportunity to watch some racing from the centre green.
