Just to clarify amid some social media speculation – Edinburgh do have a facility to replace their missing number one Dan Thompson and their previously announced guest – former Bandit Leon Flint – will be lining up for the Monarchs at Shielfield Park tomorrow night – tapes-up 7pm.

Tonight’s postponement at Armadale means that winter signing Thompson – who has been told that he must be in Poland for duties with Lodz this weekend – has not ridden an official meeting for his new club.

in certain circumstances this could have led to Edinburgh having “no facility” and only being allowed to replace him with a guest up to 75% of his average. But Speedway Control Board co-ordinator Neil Vatcher confirmed this afternoon that due to the Edinburgh team being declared to his office with Dan Thompson in it they are entitled to a facility.

So the R.E.D Bandits, powered by STS, prepare to give Bandits’ debuts to Victor Palovaara, Lasse Fredriksen and Reid Battye while the Monarchs only new face in Mitch Cluff who began last season at Plymouth.
