Keith Hamblin and Taz McDougall were on hand to capture the action of Press and Practice 2023 when the FTS Bandits, powered by Keenwood Karpets, and GHT Bullets, powered by STS, broke in their new racesuits, posed for the cameras and cut some laps around a Shielfield Park surface which, remarkably after weeks wet and cold weather, threw up so dust from those spinning back wheels.
A good sized crowd braved the traditionally cold Tweedmouth temperatures to grab their first sight of Rory Schlein, Josh Embleton, Connor Coles, Archie Freeman and Jamie Halder in Berwick colours for the first time.

There was a warm welcome back for Thomas Jorgensen while Berwick boys Leon Flint, Mason Watson and Jye Etheridge along with Nathan Stoneman and former NDL track record holder Danny Phillips showed that they had not forgotten the fastest line around our bowl,
Bullets skipper Greg Blair called in between duties in the lambing sheds to pass of words of wisdom to his new charges but a shoulder injury kept him off-track.
As always there was the odd spill with Mason Watson’s assault on the third bend polyfoam the most alarming but fortunately everyone walked away without injury.
