Matchday 5pm update

While it’s been a grey and overcast day in TD15 we’ve avoided the thunderstorms which hit the south of Northumberland earlier in the day. Early morning light drizzle dampened the ground but little more and the forecast is for the skies to stay low and the possibility of sunshine just as the Jewson Bandits, powered by Keenwood Karpets, and Poole Pirates take to the track at Shielfield Park.

As always it’s a 7pm start with both sides at full strength, the Championship’s in-form number one, Josh Pickering  guesting for the injured Lewis Kerr, Richard Lawson leading the Pirates and Tom Brennan having the week of his life in both British leagues.

Jye Etheridge returns from injury and the only change to the programme is that Graeme Hunter replaces Barbara Horley in the referee’s box.

Get yourself trackside as the Bandits bid to extend their home winning streak against many people’s title favourites. E-tickets are on sale until 7pm Buy tickets  with cash turnstiles also in operation. Admission is £20, £18 students and concessions. Accompanied under-16s admitted free.

The meeting is also being livestreamed with James Black and Marty Clyde calling the action from 6.50pm Buy stream
