Matchday update

Strange times in TD15  with temperatures forecast to reach 25 celsius once the early morning sea fret burns off  leaving many wondering if our outdoor thermometers actually reach that high.

So when you venture out later it’s a case of plenty of sun cream and cool hats – Bandits’ hats when you get to Shielfield after gates open at 6pm because the new range of R.E.D Bandits, powered by STS caps, shirts and gilets will be on sale in the track shop before and after the eagerly anticipated derby with the Bears of Redcar.

Danny King, Charles Wright and Erik Riss tend to treat Shielfield Park as a second home as does Simon Lambert, guesting for the injured Jason Edwards. Plenty to keep in-form and back to number one Craig Cook and guest Kyle Howarth occupied but if we are to make it four home wins in a row against Redcar, and the second this season then Drew Kemp, Sam Hagon, Dayle Wood, Danyon Hume and Jack smith need to turn on the Shielfield Park magic.

As they did last time out, five long weeks ago, when we became the first and as yet only side to beat Poole in the 2025 Cab Direct Championship.

A day in the sun on the beach or in the old town, then an evening at Shielfield Park – perhaps with a very reasonably priced cold beer from one of our two stadium bars – as the Tweed-Tees rivalry renews.
