Matchday update

We’re waking up in TD15 to a dry, albeit cloudy, Saturday morning with a hint of a breeze and a forecast which even promises afternoon sunshine and rising temperatures.

So there’s time for a paddle at Spittal before heading up to Shielfield Park for what has been the highlight of many a season – the visit of Glasgow Tigers, in the BSN Series opener.

Shielfield fan favourites Chris Harris and Leon Flint lead the Tigers against a Bandits’ side with a new breed of heroes to cheer on in 2024.

Harris v Kerr, Etheridge v Flint, Hodder v Pijper, Borke v Complin, Schlein v Worrall, Kemp v Starke – there’s individual battles to be won all through the 15 heats of action with two vital points at stake as both teams look to put down a marker in the Scottish qualifying section.

Gates open at 6pm and as always we anticipate an influx of red and white over the Border. Cash admission is £20 adults, £18 concessions and students.
