Well it’s a breezy start to the day in TD15 and it’s fingers crossed that the forecasters have it right with blustery winds and just the odd, short, sharp shower anticipated as we count down towards the hugely anticipated visit of Edinburgh Monarchs what has become the BSN Series opener.
All eyes will be on the new-look R.E.D Bandits, powered by STS who have been drawing attention from further afield in the build-up to the season.
There will be battles galore on-track with guest Leon Flint pitting himself against home big hitters Peter Kildemand and Nick Morris, former Monarchs Victor Palovaara and Lasse Fredriksen going toe-to-toe with Paco Castagna and Justin Sedgmen, Jack Smith determined to grab his opportunity with both hands and Reid Battye taking the first steps in what promises to be an exciting career. All beginning with a Grand Parade conducted by Greg Blair at 6.50pm and tapes-up on heat one at 7pm.
E-tickets are on sale here or you can pay cash on the turnstiles which open at 6pm. Berwick and District Cancer Support Group will be collecting for the Cancer Cars -you’ll not miss them in their yellow t-shirts and fleeces.
But opening day is also the time to collect Season Passes. We’ll be handing them out at Berwick Market between 11am and 1pm today at our stall in Marygate or if you can’t make it then the Box Office will open at 5.45pm tonight.
There is still time to buy a Season Pass – £199 adults, £189 concessions – Here And don’t forget whether you’ve got a Season Pass, an E-ticket or you’re paying cash on the gate then your children and their friends can accompany you free if they are under-16. And car parking is free too. And if you can’t make it then James and Marty will be calling the action live on BanditsTV Buy livestream
