Last night we learned of the tragic passing of broadcasting legend and a good friend of Berwick Speedway, Nigel Pearson.
Nigel was a phenomenal character who helped raise the profile of the sport in every way.
The voice of a generation for Speedway, Nige’s enthusiasm, quick wit and professionalism were second to none and he will be sadly missed by us all.
From everyone at Berwick Speedway, our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Nigel’s family at this very difficult time.
With heavy hearts we will go racing tonight, eternally grateful for Nigel Pearson’s friendship and his support.
