With the AGM behind us it’s back to the business of building a Bandits team to push for silverware in 2025.
Danyon Hume and Drew Kemp are already signed, sealed and delivered and we are pleased to announce that they will once again be led by Rory Schlein.
Social media reports of Roo Boy’s retirement have been wide of the mark and he is back to skipper the Bandits.
The 40-year-old was enjoying a purple patch before an innocuous looking first bend spill at Scunthorpe ended his season with a broken scapula and fractured vertebrae.
Now, fully recovered, he is gearing up for his third season as a Bandit.
“No question that had it not been for injuries to myself, Bastian and Lewi we would have been challenging for the play-offs at the very least,” Rory said.
“Jamie, Steve and Stewart have put together a very impressive looking seven and I’m really looking forward to skippering the side.
“Everyone, including myself, has the potential to improve. It’s an exciting time for the Bandits.”
