Something for next weekend

No meeting again tonight but the R.E.D Bandits, powered by STS roar back into Cab Direct Championship action next weekend.

Scunthorpe is the destination on Friday night with the Scorpions travelling to Shielfield Park the following night and, of course, we go into battle with the men from Lincolnshire without our reserve Dayle Wood, our popular Aussie breaking a bone in his wrist and beginning four to six weeks recuperation and recovery.

In his absence we’ll be using guests for both meetings to cover his 2.00 points.

Ours is one of three fixtures on both days. Oxford visit Edinburgh and Poole are at Glasgow on Friday and we have secured the services of Tom Spencer who had a handful of fixtures for Redcar at the start of the 2025 campaign in addition to racing for Middlesbrough in the National Development League.

On Saturday – with the Pirates at Workington and Redcar travelling to Plymouth – we welcome an old friend back to Bandits’ colours with Freddy Hodder standing in for Dayle.

Tickets for Saturday’s fixture will be on sale from Monday night but if you want to pamper yourself then our famous hospitality is available to hire at £50 per head.

In addition to admission and a matchday magazine, fans watching from behind glass in the grandstand will also enjoy a buffet and unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

There’s also the chance to visit the pits and meet the riders before the meeting, get a unique angle on Britain’s fastest speedway by watching some racing from the centre green in addition to help choose the rider of the night.
