The field for the NDLRC Series Stars of Tomorrow, powered by Terry Straughan Builder, Plasterer, Tiler, is beginning to take shape.

All six National League sides have nominated two riders for the meeting on 7 September, 7pm and we will see some familiar faces lining up.

Last year’s Bandit of the Year Connor Coles is in the line-up alongside Monarchs’ Academy team-mate Dayle Wood while Senna Ace Summers, who made his professional debut for Berwick’s Bullets in 2023, represents Oxford as does fellow teenager Jody Scott.

From the Scunthorpe/Sheffield team is another former Bullet in the shape of Ace Pijper alongside 15-year-old brother Stene who was a regular at Shielfield Park on 125s in the Northern Junior League.

Bandit Freddy Hodder along with Matt Marson will fly the Belle Vue Colts flag with 15-year-old hotshot William Cairns competing for Great Britain in a 250CC event that day after initially pencilling in the Berwick meeting. Another former Bullet, Luke Crang, along with Aaron Butcher represents league champions Leicester Lion Cubs.

Jake Mulford, who has bounced back from serious injury to have a fine season with both Middlesbrough Tigers and Redcar Bears, form which has seen him take over as Belle Vue’s Rising Star in the Premiership is joined by 16-year-old Tigers’ team-mate William Hocaniuk and will start the meeting as one of the favourites.

Four wildcards selected by the Berwick management will complete the field for the meeting which will be run over the historical 20 heat formula.

Tickets for the meeting are on sale now, £12, with matchday admission £14. Buy tickets

Heat sponsorship is also available for £100 with Sarah Bulman, Teng Tools, BSN, Rapid Reaction NE, Berwick Bandits’ Supporters Club, Oxford Speedway Supporters Club, Brian Renton and the Black and Gold already backing the night along with former Stars of Tomorrow competitor Terry Straughan.
