Just a reminder that the Jewson Bandits, powered by Keenwood Karpets, end of season party will be held in the Black and Gold on Friday 18 October from 7.30pm. All the 2024 Bandits riders and management have been invited along to both reflect on 2024 and look ahead to 2025. Admission is free and we look forward to welcoming supporters and sponsors for one last blast before the work begins building a team for the new season.
Before that there’ll be an opportunity to vote for your rider of the year via the website. Details to follow.
But there’s still some racing to be done for two of this year’s team. Lewi continues to guest for Leicester in place of the injured Craig Cook and he will be back in Lions’ colours when they attempt to claw back a 12-point deficit in the Premiership Grand Final second leg, a meeting now rearranged for Thursday. The meeting is live on Eurosport and Discovery+ from 7.30pm.
Freddy Hodder’s bid to lift the British under-19 title – washed out last Sunday – will now go ahead at Oxford a week today (4 October) from 3pm. Two days later our popular reserve will be in Belle Vue colours as they face Sheffield/Scunthorpe in the final NDL fixture of the year,
And in case you want to follow the Championship dash for silverware via livestreaming the BSN Series final between Sunthorpe and Poole begins tonight in Lincolnshire (5pm) with the second leg in Dorset on Wednesday (7.30pm). Next Saturday sees Oxford stage the first leg of the Grand Final which is scheduled to conclude at Poole on 9 October, both at 7.30pm.
