It is with a heavy heart that we learned yesterday of the passing of former Berwick Bandit Tom Blackwood.
A leading light in recent years in the Veteran Riders Association, Tom also rode several times on his vintage bike around many tracks in the UK with ‘The Men in Black’.
Tom rode for the Bandits in the clubs first ever season in 1968 and again in 1969, completing 16 matches in total.
Everyone at Berwick Bandits Speedway Club sends their deepest condolences to Tom’s close friends and family at this sad time.
RIP Tom Blackwood
