Under-21 bid for pair

Bullets’ new boy Archie Freeman will head to Workington on Sunday, May 28 as he bids for a place in the British Under-21 Final.

He will take part in a qualifying round at the new Northside complex, lining up in a strong field which also includes former Berwick Academy riders  Luke Harrison,  Sam and Harry McGurk and Ace Pijper.

The top six will be given a spot in the final, at Glasgow on 16 July. The meeting was originally scheduled for August 27 but has now been rearranged by the Ashfield promotion. Ten riders have been seeded direct to the final including defending champion Leon Flint along with Connor Bailey, Kyle Bickley, Jason Edwards, Drew Kemp, Dan Gilkes, Jake Mulford, Anders Rowe, Dan and Joe Thompson.
