Things have been a little quiet on the Bandits’ website and social media platforms of late but that all ended today with the announcement that Peter Kildemand will be back in Bandits’ colours in 2026.

Your owner and senior management team would also like to share some other news emanating from Shielfield Park.

SOCIAL MEDIA

The main reason our social media platforms have been quiet is because long serving media team member, Scott Frame has taken a step back from the Bandits in particular and the sport in general.

Over the years Framey has done great work in areas including media, social media and presentation and along with his family, will always be very welcome at Shielfield Park.

But it does leave a big void to fill behind the scenes and as a management team we are working to get the right team assembled in position for the 2026 season.

FUTURE

It’s been impossible to avoid the uncertainty surrounding our great sport in certain areas of the country and one could even be forgiven for fearing the worst.

From our point of view there is no time like the present to assure our fans, sponsors, volunteers and friends that it’s, as always, all systems go in Bandit country.

The decision to postpone the BSP Ltd AGM until the new year has left a number of clubs in limbo and that has had a knock-on effect throughout the sport.

For Bandits’ fans the good news is that club owner Jamie Courtney, team boss Stewart Dickson and the senior management team have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure Berwick Speedway is in a good position.

Stewart has been working non-stop assembling the riders he needs and wants regardless of whatever rules and regulations are passed at that delayed AGM.

The aim of us all is to ensure the Bandits can pick up where they left off in 2025 and pursue SGB Championship success in 2026.

PARTY

One unfortunate victim of the AGM postponement was the 2025 end of season party. With key players scattered to all four corners of the country and beyond it became logistically impossible to ensure everyone who needed to be in attendance, could be there on the same evening.

So instead an online poll to find the 2025 Rider of the Season will be launched via the website in the coming weeks and the winner will be announced via our usual channels.

Sponsorship packages and details of the popular Season Passes will be available in the very near future.

In the new year, the club will be on the lookout for new, enthusiastic volunteers to join us for 2026 to help us keep Shielfield Park the best place to be on a Saturday night.
