Well done PK

No question he was the most exciting rider of the night but PK had to settle for third place in tonight’s Ben Fund Meeting at Glasgow.

Despite not quite having his gating gloves on our main Dane scored 12 points from the qualifying heats to go direct into the final when another slow depart from gate three. Dan Thompson won the final ahead of Glasgow winter signing Kevin Juhl Pedersen.

Victor Palovaara scored five points and was a bit unfortunate to be dragged into the tapes when his Berwick team-mate twitched at the start. Reid Battye, deputising for the recovering Nick Morris, gained some invaluable experience of the Ashfield circuit and became more competitive as the meeting progressed.

Peter’s next outing is on Monday in the Premiership Knockout Northern section when Belle Vue entertain Jye’s Sheffield side at the National Speedway Stadium, the reverse fixture taking place at Owlerton on Thursday. Both meetings will be livestreamed by the respective clubs.
